Appellation Alella - DO

Alella, one of the smallest Denominations of Origin (DO) in Catalonia, is located just a few kilometers north of Barcelona, Spain. Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the hills of the Serra de Marina, this wine region enjoys a unique microclimate, ideal for producing high-quality wines. The granitic soils, known as "sauló," enhance the expression of the terroir in the wines.

Alella is renowned for its fresh and aromatic white wines, primarily made from the native Pansa Blanca (Xarel·lo) variety, as well as other grapes like Chardonnay and Macabeo. The red wines, often crafted with Garnacha and Merlot varieties, are distinguished by their elegance and complexity.
