As a blanc de blancs, it is made exclusively from white grape varieties, most often Chardonnay, providing a refined and lively character. Being a non-vintage (non millésimé), this cuvée is composed from several harvests, allowing the winemaker to achieve a harmonious balance between freshness, complexity, and consistency. The soils, primarily composed of limestone and clay, are ideal for Chardonnay, adding both minerality and finesse to the final wine. Burgundy's history is steeped in monastic winemaking, and today Crémant de Bourgogne is renowned for offering an excellent sparkling alternative to Champagne, often with a notable regional distinctiveness.
