Žametovka, also known as “Black Velvet,” is one of Slovenia’s oldest and most historically significant red grape varieties. Renowned for its deep ruby color, this grape produces wines with a delicate bouquet characterized by notes of ripe red cherries, wild berries, gentle floral undertones, and a touch of subtle spice.
