The grape variety Xarel·lo

Xarel·lo is a distinctive white grape variety originating from Catalonia, Spain, most prominently cultivated in the Penedès region. Renowned for its vital role in the traditional blend of Cava, Xarel·lo imparts both structure and aromatic complexity to sparkling and still wines. On the nose, Xarel·lo displays an expressive aromatic profile, marked by crisp green apple, ripe pear, and subtle citrus notes, complemented by hints of fennel, aniseed, and delicate white flowers.
